The Lidia is the bag that caught our attention first in Coccinelle’s FW26 collection. Its gathered leather and laced sides give it far more character than a simple shoulder bag, while the C-Me range takes things in a cleaner direction.

Gathers pull the Lidia’s body into soft folds, and the side laces hold everything in place with small metal accents. It is a fairly simple detail, but it makes the Lidia immediately recognisable. The raised C-Me mark on the front is there, but the leather and the folds are what catch the eye first.

The Lidia small in suede is the most tactile version. Its velvety finish makes the gathered construction feel warmer, and the adjustable strap means it can sit on the shoulder or be worn across the body. The suede makes this the richer-looking of the two Lidia bags we selected.

Suede does ask for more care. Coccinelle recommends cleaning it with a soft brush, so the suede version will naturally need a little more care than the leather bag. That is a fair trade for a bag whose texture is such a big part of why it works.

The two sizes give shoppers a genuine choice. The choice between them is fairly straightforward. Our View

The Lidia is the bag we would look at first. The gathered leather and side laces make it more interesting than a straightforward shoulder bag, and choosing between suede and smooth leather gives you two genuinely different versions of the same design.

The C-Me range is simpler, with the clasp doing most of the visual work. We like the pink Small in particular, and the wallets make sense if you like the C-Me hardware but do not need another handbag. The flower and dog key rings are more playful, but they fit naturally into a collection that otherwise takes itself fairly seriously.

Would We Buy It?

Yes. We would buy the suede Lidia small first for its gathered body and side laces, as long as it can be kept for dry days. The pink C-me small is our everyday choice because its tumbled leather, usable shape and colour make it easy to reach for. The eucalipto C-Me medium wallet is our favourite small addition.
