Burberry High Summer 2025 Collection
Daniel Lee’s Burberry High Summer 2025 capsule channels a playful British holiday spirit into swimwear, shirts and laid-back tailoring. Shot entirely on 35mm film and underscored by the Shipping Forecast theme, the campaign (starring Rosie Huntington-Whiteley and tennis star Jack Draper) is a “Burberry celluloid postcard” of sun-soaked escapism. Nostalgic nautical motifs – ropes, knots and sailboats – meet fresh seasonal checks in this sun-ready collection. Lee says it “captures one of the most enjoyable times of the year: Brits on holiday taking a moment away in the sun.”
The result is a high-summer wardrobe for seaside parties and yacht decks: bikini tops to board shorts, button-up shirts to cotton dresses. Across the line, playful prints and the iconic Equestrian Knight motif tie everything together.
Artful, Natural, and Thoroughly Considered
Burberry’s High Summer bags embrace texture and heritage craft. The crocheted EKD Crochet Pouch (in an off-white “White/Sand” shade) is a standout – a zip pouch crocheted with contrasting yarn to form the archival Knight logo. Softly structured and Italian-made, it slips over the wrist as a clutch (linen and viscose fibres add lightness) and nods to the season’s Resortwear trend.
Equally modern is the Small Logo Canvas Shoulder Bag, a top-handle tote in jacquard cotton-linen canvas. It features a bold horizontal stripe and woven Burberry logo, trimmed with smooth calf leather and brushed-metal hardware. Despite its simple shape, the lightweight linen–cotton fabric and hand-painted edges give it artisanal charm.
For an outdoorsy utilitarian flair, the Medium Highlands Tote combines rugged and refined elements. Italian-made from a cotton–linen blend (with a subtle coated finish inspired by classic rainwear), it’s jacquard-woven with a tonal Burberry check and leather Knight-stamp patch. All these totes are unlined, drop-opening bags – ideal for the beach or market runs – and come with dust bags. (pair with breezy linen separates or crisp white denim for a laid-back summer look.)

Soft Uniforms and Summer Statements
The High Summer clothes mix classic checks with crisp tailoring and beach-ready ease. On shirts and tops, a seasonal new twist on the Burberry check emerges. For example, the Cropped Check Cotton Shirt – woven in a fresh seasonal hue of the signature tartan – is cut very short and slim. It fastens with a neat point collar and self-tie hem for an effortlessly tousled crop-top effect. Its lightweight cotton feels breathable, and it comes with mother-of-pearl buttons for a luxe touch.
Pairs perfectly with anything high-waisted – try it with the matching Check Cotton Shorts, which feature an elastic drawcord waist and loose fit. These tailored shorts are cut from soft cotton jacquard in the same muted check palette, with side pockets and a single back patch pocket for a polished sporty look.
The collection also leans into graphic archival references. The Knight Stamp Cotton T-shirt in Chalk (creamy off-white) is slim-cut and ultra-soft cotton jersey. Its standout is an embroidered Equestrian Knight motif at the chest – the very same rider-and-horse logo first seen on Burberry bags in the 1980s. Ribbed trim and a slim fit make it a contemporary wardrobe staple, easily layered under light jackets or with a denim skirt.
Dresses and cover-ups skew easy and sporty. A black Check-Trim Cotton T-shirt Dress is cut from weightless cotton jersey into a relaxed, thigh-skimming silhouette. It comes with adjustable check-strap B-buckle tabs on the sleeves and, again, a tonal Knight embroidery on the chest. (think luxe Bermuda tee with Burberry swagger.)
For swim and beach, the campaign’s muses show that even bikinis and towels go high-fashion. The Check Swimsuit is fully printed in a creamy Sand check and edged with playful ruffle trim, while the matching drawstring tote pouch keeps essentials handy.

Grounded, Graphic, and Light on Their Feet
Footwear in High Summer plays into laid-back luxury. Espadrilles are everywhere – the women’s Check Mews Espadrilles (flat) and wedge Check Mews Espadrille Mules are both woven from stretch linen in a blue or sand check.
The flat pair features an almond toe and a rubber sole embossed with the Knight logo, while the pumps sit on a 9cm cork wedge and fasten with crossed buckled straps. Both come lined in check canvas, making them comfortable all day. In editorial style we might pair either with a floaty dress or cropped chinos.
Sandals in the collection also sport the check. For women, you’ll find simple slide styles in teacup or archive beige check pattern.

Styling Tips & FAQ
To channel the High Summer look, mix and match graphic check pieces with breezy neutrals. For example, knot the Cropped Check Shirt over white linen shorts, or wear the Knight-embroidered tee with a monochrome midi skirt. The woven totes and pouches soften hard looks: try the crochet pouch with a pure-white shift dress, or the canvas shoulder bag slung over a chestnut jumpsuit for an effortless city-to-beach ensemble. The espadrilles and slides work well with sun-kissed skin and rolled-up chinos or sarong-style cover-ups.
Q: What inspired the High Summer 2025 collection?
Daniel Lee drew on the joyful, idiosyncratic side of British summer holidays. His team filmed a playful seaside fantasy – complete with ice-lollies, sun loungers and even a scuba diver – to embody “the joy of the British at play.” Think sunlit yacht deck and sandy beach imagery mixed with classic Burberry prints.
Q: What are the stand-out fabrics and techniques?
The range is full of tactile details: crochet-knit pouches (viscose blend) and jacquard-woven linens (for bags and shorts) reference heritage weaving, while cotton jersey tees and dresses are lightweight and breathable. High-tech rubber soles and PU straps keep the shoes practical for the beach. Many items are made in Italy and Portugal, reflecting Burberry’s artisan production.
Q: How do I care for these pieces?
Most cotton and linen garments are machine washable (cold and gentle), but delicate items like the denim skirt (with suede patches) should go to the dry cleaner. Store the crochet pouch in its dust bag to protect the yarn; leather trims on bags can be wiped with a damp cloth. The slides and espadrilles (mostly synthetic or linen) can be hand-washed and air-dried.
Q: Are these pieces already available?
Yes. The High Summer 2025 capsule is live on Burberry’s website. (Burberry is also celebrating with pop-ups – for example at The Newt, Somerset and The Standard, Ibiza – so check local listings.) Sizes run true to form, but note that relaxed-fit swim shorts and dresses are cut roomier.
