The mirrored-effect calfskin sandal is harder and brighter. With an ankle strap and a 105 mm heel, its underlying form is entirely recognisable, yet the reflective gold finish makes it appear almost liquid under strong light. Put the two gold sandals beside each other and their difference becomes obvious. One catches the light softly, the other returns it with interest. The occasion may be similar, but the impression is not.
